Exposing Headers in Mail (OS X)

New Email
  • When the messages comes into your Inbox, it will normally just show the basic headers, such as the sender, subject, date, and recipient.

    Message Menu

  • In order to see ALL of the message header (which is needed by our Policy Enforcement Department), click on the Message menu, then choose Show All Headers.

    Exposed Headers

  • You should now see ALL of the raw message header along with your message. This is the information that our Policy Enforcement Department needs to track down the sender. At this point, you can highlight the ENTIRE message (headers AND message body) using the mouse (click and hold the mouse button at the start of the message and drag the cursor over the message). Once the message is highlighted, click on the Edit menu, then choose Copy. This will copy the text to the clipboard.
  • At this point, compose a new message as you normally do to abuse@airmail.net. Click in the message body, then click on the Edit menu and choose Paste from the popup menu. This should place the contents you previously copied into your new message.
  • Send the message off and our Policy Enforcement Department will do the rest!
