Cookie Management in Internet Explorer 6.0

To enable or disable cookies, follow these steps



Tools Menu
  • Click on the Tools Menu, then choose Internet Options. If you do not have this menu option, click on the Start menu, choose Control Panel, then choose Internet Options.
  • Click on the Privacy tab.

  • If your Privacy setting for the Internet zone is set to Medium, cookies should be enabled. If you need to manually enable or disable cookies, click on the Advanced button.

    Advanced Settings

  • Put a check next to Override automatic cookie handling.
  • Under the First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies sections, put a dot next to the appropriate choice.
  • If you put a check next to Always allow session cookies, this will allow Internet Explorer to store cookies for your current session only. Once you complete close Internet Explorer, those cookies will be deleted.
